good read michelle....I believe occupying wall st. and other such places is a joke.....a complete waste of time......logically if you're gonna occupy anywhere......take it to D.C., which I understand there were protests too---go to the place where laws actually can be changed....don't stand in lower manhattan calling out the assholes that are milking and fueling the fucked up system....they don't make the laws and the can't and don't want anything to change........I also understand the point of occupying or protesting......it's our right as citizens to be heard.......but really......does anything ever change for doing so?........of course I believe you should always stand up for what you think is right or wrong in life.......but occupying wall st. is a complete fucking waste of time......btw....not to stand here up on a pedastal but I can loan you some chedda if you need it......I know you'll be good fo it when you're accepting that Oscar speach in 10 or so yearz....xoMatteo

My"tool kit"is my 16 year old son. Having conversations with him everyday and watching him grow. Going on college visits together.Teaching him values, why I use tough love and why it's important to be a good man and treat women with respect. Sitting on the couch together with his head on my shoulder watching Celebrity Apprentice priceless.

Sorry, late to the Blog about - Mon, 21 May 2012 13:46:15 +0000
Sorry, late to the Blog about your meeting with the Contessa!  Your experience was mine to a'T'! Met Ina at a Borders signing in Chicago (I am from SW Missouri, Joplin to be exact).  After the EF-5 tornado that pretty much wiped Joplin out last year, a few of us still managed to find a tv and watch Barefoot Contessa. It was a way to relax, decompress, and try and restore normality. We would speculate on'What Would Ina Do'to deal with the death, the destruction, the tragedy and the mess . . . and we decided it would be with her usual grace, class, calm, kindness and  . . . food!  I wrote to her to thank her for being there for my friends and me . . . and just last week I received a WONDERFULLY gracious response that included a'thank you'and a lovely bottle of'Antonia's Flowers'perfume.  It was the perfect thing for her to do.  She is my heroine and she has many, many adorers in Joplin,Missouri!
